DYNAMIC THEATRE

The Old City of Acre and its urban spaces are host to theatrical events on the annual theater festival in the city.
The Dynamic theater project examines the representation of information on urban locations and redesigning the selected sites while ever changing perceptions about the space. The project harness media to convey information while the events at the festival serves as a catalyst to representations and techniques applied to the creation of a new space.
Digital media and interaction produces new meetings between visitors in an interior space along with dynamic objects and the information transmitted through them. Collecting information and representing it as the "Heart Rate"of the city increases the visitor's sense for the rhythm of the city.
The site, the abandoned "Nur" matches factory is located in the main street of the new Acre. The project offers the option to merge the disconnected layers of the city, both architecturally and socially-politically. This is done while introducing a revival of historical milestone in the city.
Dynamic semi-transparent objects filters the motion between the main street and the proposed theatrical space and thus examining the feedback between physical and virtual. The project was presented as a 1:20 scaled model usind self-programmed Ardino, servo-motors, sensors and customized laser cut objects.
