My name is Shoval Nir.

I'm a multidisciplinary designer, Cad-Cam specialist, lecturer and researcher in the digital realm. I seek to find opportunities and challenges using advanced technologies while implementing design ideas and innovative concepts. I'm an expert in the field of algorithmic and advanced 3D modeling in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper platform and Autodesk 3DsMax,

As part of being a designer and a professional, I believe that there is a need to change the perception and implementation of digital tools in design and architecture while utilizing advanced technologies and methods such as 3D-printing, rapid Prototyping and Performative Design. 

 

Today, as a lecturer I am promoting a dialogue about the use of digital tools with an emphasis on Parametric-Associative Design.

 

I believe that exploiting the potential of advanced tools allows the training of advanced designers  with and up-to date way of thinking. This will allow them to create projects  while regrading relevant subjects such as climate and environment, production methods  and social-economical issues, This can only be done by merging between the physical world to virtual while looking beyond the formal-conceptual point of view.
